Opened in January 2017, Taisteal is the latest venture by Chef Gordon Craig. Meaning journey or travel, Taisteal presents dishes using the best local Scottish produce combined with elements from around the world. Taisteal takes elements of fine dining and presents them in a relaxed environment.
In our first year we have been included in the Michelin Guide, the Good Food Guide and have been awarded 1 AA Rosette. We're delighted to have our small, unique restaurant recognised with such distinguished accolades in such a short space of time.
A bit about the Chef: having trained in some of the UKs finest Michelin-starred restaurants, Gordon brings his extensive knowledge and skill to the Edinburgh restaurant scene. Inspired by his own travels abroad and recipes from around the world, Gordon hopes to bring some of these flavours and techniques to Stockbridge.
